Traditional Rum Cake
Our traditional Caribbean rum cake or black cake as it is sometimes known, is the best rum cake you'll ever taste. Our cake is made from a family recipe handed down through generations and you can really taste the rum - not rum essence. We soak our fruits in good, strong red wines and recognised rums from the caribbean including Mount Gay from Barbados and Wray & Nephew from Jamaica.
This along with the cake spices and essences from the Caribbean that we also use, along with good quality ingredients, make a nice, rich, moist rum fruit cake that we feel is second to none.
Our Caribbean rum cake is popular for wedding, birthday and anniversary cakes and is also one of our most popular cupcakes in our cocktail cupcake range.
Our Caribbean rum cake is a 'Must Have' at Christmas and Easter and our personalised rum cakes make a lovely surprise for someone special. We are proud of the comments from some of our regular customers. Please see our Testimonial page for some of the wonderful comments we've had from our customers.
Although icing is popular with many of our customers and rum cakes with icing can be seen in our Cake Gallery, not everyone is a fan of icing and some prefer our rum cakes decorated with fruit or just as is. See below
Rum cake with Rum
Not everyones a fan of icing so as an alternative our rum cake with rum soaked topping is the ideal choice. Our Topping combines a mix of currants, sultanas, raisins, cherries, apricots, mixed peel and of course a generous helping of rum!! The topping is soaked rum and once glazed with apricot sauce.

Rum Cake by Post
Why not order our rum cakes through our order page and let us get it to you by post. We use Royal Mail and MyHermes both trackable delivery services. Your rum cake is carefully packaged so that it arrives to you in the best condition. The alcohol content of the cake means that once packaged, your cake will remain fresh and moist during transit to you. Once you receive your cake it will last for around one month or more if kept wrapped in cling film and refrigerated in a container. Your cake will last even longer if you occasionally dribble a little rum over it but always serve your cake at room temperature.
We post our rum cake throughout the UK. Check out our 'Order' page for sizes and prices.
Note - All our cakes contain MILK & EGGS unless those from our 'Free From' Range
